Les Petits Pleasures

Full disclosure: I am French so I have great expectations when I visit a French bakery / pastry shop.The pastries are delicious and clearly you have experts at work in the kitchen. I had the Bourbon flavored merveilleux for breakfast (clearly a heart attack waiting to happen, but I'd rather live fully and happy then cut on such pleasures...) and it was delicious: the bourbon flavor was nice in the cream, it mixed ideally with the meringue.We took 4 croissants to go and the quality was just impeccable.On the downside: in my opinion they lack business skills and they should run 2 cashiers at the same time. Only one setup which meant a fairly decent wait time. It was definitely worth it so expect wait time at breakfast time, and I'd recommend to improve that point.Looks family owned and operated by wonderful people.I would recommend it to anyone in the St Augustine area and I'd go back if I were visiting again the neighborhood.

The wait can be a little long if you go when it's busy but the croque monsieur and pastries were fantastic!

Food is exceptionally good and I would have given them 5 stars if it weren't for there being a 50 cents charge for 2 pads of land o lakes butter. Last thing I want to do after I spend $10 on pastries is have to buy butter for my baguette... But the staff is very friendly!
